Panda's RecapUpdated October 3, 2026 · by the Panda's Recap team
Harvest is a strong choice for agencies that track time and bill clients. If you're comparing options, Clockify and Toggl are the usual picks for teams, and Keito is built for moving off Harvest. Panda's Recap is for one person who wants their tracked work to do more for them: become their next performance review, their résumé and their invoices.
Harvest has been around a long time and it shows. The timer is simple, there are apps for Mac, Windows, iPhone and Android, and it plugs into tools like Asana, Jira, Trello and Slack.
Its biggest strength is billing. Invoices come straight from tracked hours, clients can pay online by card or bank transfer, and everything syncs to Xero or QuickBooks. Add expenses, project budgets with alerts and timesheet approvals, and it covers most of what an agency needs.
Pricing starts at $9 a seat a month billed yearly, and Harvest adds usage-based charges for active projects, clients, tasks and invoicing on top. The free plan covers one person and two projects.
People usually look around for one of two reasons. Either their team wants a different price structure, or they're one person who needs less of the billing side and more out of the hours themselves.

Best for: a freelancer, contractor or employee who wants a record of their work that pays off at review time.
Panda's Recap is a task board with a timer on every card. Drag a card to In Progress and the timer starts, drag it to Done and it stops. Clients, projects and notes stay on the card, so over a year you build a real record of what you did and for whom.
That record is where it differs from Harvest. When review season comes, Panda's Recap turns your year into a draft performance review, for free. Pro writes the finished review, builds a résumé from the work you actually did, and answers questions about your own year, like what you shipped for a client in March.
If you bill by the hour, Pro also builds invoices from your billable hours. You can edit lines, mark hours as no charge, set terms, add a logo and download a PDF or Word file.
Pros
Cons
Best for: a team that wants low per-seat prices.
Clockify has some of the lowest paid prices around, from $3.99 a seat a month billed yearly, with invoicing from the $5.49 Standard plan. It runs on every platform and has over 100 integrations. The free plan covers up to 5 users.
Pros: low prices, apps everywhere, a long feature list.
Cons: invoicing and exports need a paid plan.
Best for: a team that wants the simplest timer.
Toggl is known for being easy. Its free plan covers up to 3 users and includes calendar integration and basic invoicing. Paid plans start at $9 a user a month billed yearly. In September 2026 it relaunched as Toggl 2.0, so new signups get the new app.
Pros: very easy to use, a solid free plan, apps everywhere.
Cons: invoices are a PDF download, without online payment.
Best for: a team moving off Harvest that wants its history to come along.
Keito connects to your Harvest account and imports your clients, projects, tasks, people, time, expenses and invoices. Retainers are the one thing you set up again by hand. Solo is $19 a month.
Pros: the smoothest move from Harvest.
Cons: Xero and QuickBooks sync are on the $199 Business plan.
For a team that bills clients through accounting software, Harvest is hard to beat, and Keito is the closest match if you want to move. For a team that mainly needs a timer, Toggl or Clockify will do it for less.
If it's just you, think about what you want from the hours. If the answer is a stronger review, an up-to-date résumé and clean invoices, that's what Panda's Recap is built for.
